Devlog October 2026

02. November 2026

Cover image Devlog October 2026

This month brought manager targets and many bug fixes. Especially the data pack editor got several fixes for bugs that causes crashes.

v1.0 is just around the corner and will be released on 10 December this year! Therefore October was the last month where new features where added. November will probably still get player trainings, but overall no new features will be added. The main priority will be polishing, testing and bug fixes.

Here the full changelog and some more information of all versions released in October

Current development

My goal for October was to release manager targets and player training. But I got lost in refactoring and polishing, as it happens often :-) Therefore I was not able to implement player training yet.

v0.9.4 coming in a few days will ship many minor fixes and improvements all over the game. Especially behind the scenes I changed the csv data structure. Now the big teams.csv file is split up in stadiums.csv, finances.csv and formations.csv. This separation makes migration and new features easier.

Formations are now assigned to managers and are no longer bound to teams. This way you keep your formation settings when changing teams (players change of course). Additionally it will be possible to have up to 6 formation presets. This allows to activate rotation lineups or different tactics with a single click.

Right after v0.9.4 I will start to implement player training, I promise ;-) Once that is done a there will be a feature freeze until v1.0 is out.

Goodbye reddit and lemmy

Both platforms reddit and lemmy won't get any new posts. They will stay online for some time and then I'll delete them. The reason is that both never got traction and I want to reduce the non-development work.

For now I will keep Discord and Element open, but I might take action also there. I won't close Discord, since it is now home to over 250 players. So probably I will step down as admin and let the community decide what happens next. But anyways this is just a soft warning what might happen next.

RSSFeed of this website will always stay online and also Mastodon. Mastodon is the last and only social media platform I personally use.

And to be honest, this is just a game ;-)

Strict No LLM / No AI Policy

This month I update the AI/LLM policy for the game. The main reason is that I still don't use any generative tools for this game and in general. Therefore I would like to keep also this project this way.

While there are not many code contributors yet, this should prevent issues in future. This way it is clear what is allowed as contribution. Thanks to ziglang for providing this policy.

No LLMs for issues.
No LLMs for patches / pull requests.
No LLMs for comments on the bug tracker, including translation.

English is encouraged, but not required. You are welcome to post in your native language and rely on others to have their own translation tools of choice to interpret your words.

Every feedback is welcome
